Automation engineer

The role of automation engineer at IGEMS involves a lot of travel as much of the work takes place at our customers’ locations around the world. So good language skills in mainly English is a requirement, if you know more languages it is of course a plus.As an automation engineer at IGEMS you will assist in developing our CNC control system for waterjet machines. You will spend time in the office writing C# code both for our HMI and for the CNC kernel. You will also be out visiting our customers and commissioning new machines with our CNC.

Some days you will spend providing technical support for existing installations and customers. You will assist in writing the English technical documentation of our products. There will also be time to do hands-on test cutting and in our Waterjet Lab.

Education and Experience

  • Degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, or similar, or certified engineer in automation technology.
  • Experience in the field of PLC programming and commissioning, preferably using Beckhoff TwinCAT3 or CODESY based systems.
  • Experience in waterjet cutting
  • Experience in writing C# code
  • Experience in giving technical support and troubleshooting in the field and remotely.
  • Knowledge in CAD/CAM
  • Knowledge about fieldbus systems
  • Knowledge of sensors/sensor signals and test equipment
  • Experience with functional safety system design and implementation
  • Basic understanding of electrical schematics
  • Work experience 2-4 years

International Account Manager

IGEMS is facing an exciting growth journey and is now looking for a business-driven and relationship-building international Account Manager with a good technical understanding who will drive the development of the company’s sales forward.

As an international account manager you will work in close contact with IGEMS’ customers around the globe. This includes responsibility for sales, marketing and business development. You will independently manage the entire sales process; from new customer processing to final delivery of the products where you will have contact with several different types of customers. Furthermore, you will work with both existing customers as well as process potential new customers. In your role, you are expected to develop the business by actively working with close customer collaborations, processing the market and with strategic sales. You will also participate in fairs and demo IGEMS products. This service includes travel around the world. You report continuously to the CEO.

To succeed in the role of international account manager, you are curious, innovative and you are driven to find new ways forward with sales in focus. For you, relationship building is important and you are good at creating long-term customer relationships. Developing and managing new and existing customer relationships is obvious for you. You will work in a flat organization with a clear business focus where you will have great responsibility and freedom of action in your area. You have a good technical understanding and an ability to identify the customer’s business and needs. You work in a structured and solution-oriented way where you independently drive sales forward towards clearly set goals.

  • Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing

Previous experience in sales to the industry sector is meritorious.
